Children are able to join us at any time in the year (as long as we have places available).
If you are interested in a place at our school, please contact the School Office to check if places are available and to discuss the admissions process. We can also arrange a visit to school to see us in action.
Admissions to our Reception classes for September 2020 are administered by our Local Authority, Bath and North East Somerset. The closing date for these admissions is 15 January 2020. After this date, you will still need to contact them to file a 'late application'. Admissions arrangements at Castle Primary School
The Admissions Authority for Castle Primary School is The Bath and Mendip Partnership Trust. Bath and North East Somerset Local Authority is responsible for coordinating all applications for children starting school in reception. These admissions arrangements should read in conjunction with Bath and North East Somerset Local Authority's published coordinated Admissions Scheme for September 2019.

An Admissions Committee comprising of Governors is responsible for taking admission decisions for children joining the school during the academic year. (Please also read our 'In Year Admissions Policy’) below.
Our admission number for each year group is 30; however, numbers may vary from cohort to cohort. We always welcome prospective parents to come and look around our school, please contact the Office to make an appointment.
If you are refused a place at your preferred school you have a right to appeal against the decision. Should you need to appeal for a place at Castle Primary, please contact the school office for information.
