Children are able to join us at any time in the year (as long as we have places available). If it is a change of school within BANES, then we prefer for a child to start at the beginning of a new term.

Admissions to Reception for September 2021
Admissions to our Reception classes for September 2021 will be administered by our Local Authority, Bath and North East Somerset. The closing date for these admissions was 15 January 2021. Late applications and appeals should still be directed to Bath and North East Somerset, up to 5 September 2021. Admissions arrangements at Castle Primary School
The Admissions Authority for Castle Primary School is The Partnership Trust. Bath & North East Somerset Local Authority is responsible for coordinating all applications for children starting school in their Reception year. These admissions arrangements should read in conjunction with Bath & North East Somerset Local Authority's published coordinated Admissions Scheme for September 2021.

An Admissions Committee comprising of Governors is responsible for taking admission decisions for children joining the school during an academic year. (Please also read our 'In Year Admissions Policy’) below.
Our admission number for each year group is 60; however, numbers may vary from cohort to cohort. We always welcome prospective parents who would like to come and look around our school. Please contact the Office by email to make an appointment.
